On Saturday we decided that we would have a boys day out to Cardiff to visit Gemma (My sister). It would be me Charlie and Harry and our mission to get up to as much lads stuff as possible. The Plan of action was to leave Plymouth at 12 and get to Cardiff to meet Gemma after work.
We had a really fun day out and ended up with plenty of time to see and few things around the city. I have always loved Cardiff and my love affair continues I would move there with out question. The city has so much to offer and the people are so much more polite than the Janner's in Plymouth (My self excluded of course my lovers! :-p)
You will have to excuse the pictures because the do not show Cardiff in its best light but I was only armed with a phone.
Shopping street in Cardiff
Armed forces day in Bute Park which is no more than a three minute walk from the main high street and is a beautiful place.
We couldn't go in to the castle for a few reasons firstly, money and secondly because we had the pushchair. We wouldn't have been able to climb the towers much to charlies disappointment he really wanted to go in.
Being a lads day out by 4pm we needed to do something boyish so we climbed a tree !
Some what less laddish we then admired the fluffy ducklings, this point on our day out I was savagely disappointed I didn't have my SLR !
After all that we needed a drink, all they served was Orangina. Here is a stark warning too all parents never ever under any circumstances let the kids have Orangina! The kids were hyper for nearly the entire drive home ! It took them over an hour of motorway travel to go to sleep, eventually dropping off at 9.30pm !
We had such a lovely day visiting Aunty Gemma !
